You know, is that self-awareness so we'll want you to do, I want you to check in with yourself, see how you're feeling, consider this. Do you feel sluggish tired, no energy. Are you having frequent headaches? Are you having bathroom issues? Are you bloated? Do you have some brain fog going on? Do you feel just heavy and you cannot lose the weight? Do you just feel toxic? Honestly, I cannot help but think about the Brittany Spears song "Toxic". It's going through my head as I was preparing for this podcast. I wish I could just insert it right here. So I think as we talk through this hot topic, you might can relate to some of that song, right? Because the reality is toxicity is taking over our bodies and it is time for a detox. What is detox? You ask. Okay. So detox is basically trying to find balance in the body balancing what's coming in versus what is going out. It is establishing a body of harmony. Doesn't that sound nice? I love how harmony is defined as a pleasing arrangement of parts. We want all of our parts working, pleasantly. Toxicity jams everything up. It's like their sludge in our system and nothing is working right. Our body uses key organs and mechanisms to detox. So some of those are the liver skin, kidneys, lungs, and GI system. Those are the key players in helping our body detox. We use elimination and sweating as mechanisms to detox, elimination and sweating. Hmm. Okay. There she goes again, talking about poop, but let me tell you why I talk about poop so much. If you've listened to this podcast, you've heard me bring it up on numerous occasions. It's because it was part of my struggle from a very, very young girl, bathroom issues, severe constipation lasting through my adult years to about eight years ago, when I started focusing on healing, my gut, my goodness. It is astounding. How much better you feel when you're eliminating and you're not holding on to toxins? Here's the reality. I'm not the only one. I will tell you that a vast majority of my clients have been had bathroom issues as in 80% of my clients, at least struggle in this area and I’ve been very successful in helping them turn this around. That's right. My name is Jennifer and I help people poop. Yeah. I just said, I'm sorry. I could not, I couldn't help myself, but I want you to consider this. If you're not eliminating one to two times daily, you're toxic. Now, if you are dying to go deeper into this poop subject, of course I have the poop podcast. And I will reference that in the show notes. So if you haven't heard it go back and listen. Now I said elimination and sweating. So what about sweating? We release toxins when we sweat. Ever had a period of time where life just got in the way and you weren't making time for exercise. I'm raising my hand here. I know I have. If you're not getting in a good sweat, are you holding on to toxins? You better believe it. Now let's talk about sleep. Did you know that your body detoxes when you sleep? I want you to think about your home. Girls. Imagine this. If you hired someone to come and deep, clean your home and they came in and they cleaned every thing, I mean, they went deep from the baseboards to the ceiling fans. I mean, picking up the sofa and vacuuming underneath a good, deep clean, think about how good you would feel. This is what happens when you sleep. There is a cleansing detoxification process that happens, and it's a deep clean. Sleep is very, very restorative for us in that evidence shows that there's a very specific detoxification process that happens from 11:00 PM to midnight. So guess what? If you're not asleep from 11 to midnight, you're missing out on some detoxification. And there's another detoxification process that happens in the liver from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM. So if you're tossing and turning and you're not in some good deep sleep during that time again, guess what you're missing out on some good detoxification and again, here's where I'm going to apply my own health struggles. And if I had struggled with severe, and that means severe sleep issues in the past, and I had been completely dependent on sleep meds in the past, like it was not fun. It was just awful, like truly awful. But this has really helped me as I work with my clients because I understand I get it. But when I say I used to have sleep issues like that's past tense and I'm so happy to say, I've overcome this huge obstacle and I've helped many women do the same, but I want to apply that value of insight here. No wonder. As I said, I struggled so much with weight gain and toxicity and depression. No wonder I was so short tempered with my kids and couldn't hope cope with the stress of life. No wonder I was exhausted and toxic. I wasn't sleeping. And by the way, I wasn't coping either. Like no wonder, it just makes sense. Girl, are you listening? Is this resonating with you as mamas? We expect so much from our body. And at some point our body starts waving a white flag and saying, help me. I can't do this anymore. Yeah. What do we do? We keep going exhausted, stressed, and depressed, but holding up a stupid smiling mask to hide the pain. We don't want anyone to know we're struggling. We don't want anyone to know that we don't have it all together. As a woman, I reached a point of absolute desperation where I was sick and tired of wearing a mask. And I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was at a breaking point and I knew I had to do something. Here's the beautiful part. My struggle helped me develop a strategy to take control of my health and my life. And now I share that same strategy with women every single day, consider everything. Think about what we just talked about. Everything. I mean, clearly the body has some pretty amazing systems in place to help you detoxify like the science here. Now they get really deep into all the science, but the science here is absolutely amazing. So your body will detoxify, but it needs an assist. Your body needs some support.
